GALLERIES & STUDIOS
You can’t stroll through our historic downtown district without noticing that we have a lot of art galleries! We’re proud to have been named one of the “100 Best Art Towns in America” by author John Villani. And our active gallery scene doesn’t stop in downtown Silver City–there are a number of galleries in the surrounding communities. For many, taking in our galleries is one of the highlights of their visit! |

THEATERS & FILM
The newly renovated historic Silco Theater, built in 1923, provides a chance to catch the latest releases in a theater with digital upgrades and modern amenities.
Light Hall, built in the late 1920s, was recently renovated on the campus of Western New Mexico University and offers visitors and locals a live entertainment venue in an intimate setting. The newest addition, Fountain Stage At Regents Square on the WNMU campus is an outdoor entertainment venue that hosts large concert events and festivals. Also at the university, the Fine Arts Center Theater offers a home for larger indoor concerts and live theater. |
